Checking for the effectiveness of using a hearing aid is first you must check for the batteries if it is working, Second the check for the hearing aid if it is turned on, Lastly check the user if he/she responses to your queries. Anyone who has a suggestion?

Yes, check if the hearing aid that you are using is what you should be using.  Many people tend to forget about that.

I absolutely agree with you kheyci. Some people tend to forget the doctor's orders and they end up buying the wrong ones. We should always consider the doctors advices when choosing a hearing aid.

Ha ha ha. Come to think of it, most people would always look for the coolest hearing aid available in the market and forget to wonder if that hearing aid is really suitable for them.

Good point Whuler. But I know some people buy those expensive ones just because its cool. When in fact they just need those simple ones.

Those people who wears hearing aids that they think are cool is a joke for me. That's for me alright. I don't know but I don't think I would want other people to notice that I am deaf or simply hearing impaired. I find it even better if my hearing aid cannot be seen or noticed at all like an implant.

I believe that being cool by using a hearing aid is all about being the first one to have a new high-end hearing aid. I don't know about what Bernard is trying to point out.
