Do a lot of deaf patients suffer from difficulty in acquiring health care services because they are deaf? In UK there were news that a lot of them have difficulty in receiving basic health care services because of communication problems. What are your points of view from this?

I think the hospitals may consider these kind of patients. Because they need attention too. I think the hospitals should place someone who knows sign language or something. This can help them to cater their patients well.

I don't think so. If the deaf patient is having problems communicating in the hospital then it means that the hospital is the one that has the problem. Hospitals should have professionals that can attend to the needs of the patients and this includes deaf people too of course.

Your right takatenamano, hospitals should always put people who are able to understand these type of patients. They need to optimize the needs of the deaf people in order for them to be treated accordingly.

Did they've been treated mistakenly or not? Because I don't really agree that they are. The hospitals are always been good to this kind of patients because they always try to cater the needs specially these people.

You know not every health care facilities treat them in what way they should be treated. But I guess they just don't have any clerks or employees that manage these kind of patients.
