My son is 2 and was diagnosed with Autism and hearing loss at 18 months. So far we are still in shock and haven't really decided on a course of action yet for his hearing loss. We have many specialist and several therapists. Our entire family is learning sign language with him. It is SO difficult. I feel so discouraged!

You can consult doctors in a hospital and ask about getting your son an implant. They're called cochlear implants or sometimes referred to as bionic ear. Its a device that pretty much replace the things in your ear needed to hear. They're really made for people who are hard of hearing.

You should not be discouraged because your son needs your help as a parent, I know this is difficult for you, just try the suggestions given to you by your therapists and specialist and good thing your whole family is learning sign language, this will help a lot for you to communicate with your son.

Have the faith that this is a gift for you not to harm you but to strengthen you and your family. Look into the brighter side of things, I am sure you'll find one if you really open your mind and heart. Take care of your self as well, as you take care of your child. Indeed, more than your needs, be attentive to the needs of your child thus try to do what the specialist & therapist suggests.
